In 1970, Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres revolutionized the winemaking processes in Rioja by creating a fruitier and better-structured wine. Since then, its aim has been to reach the finest expression of the terroir and create unique and elegant wines to be enjoyed and shared.

Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres’s reputation is founded on a commitment to the outstanding quality of its wines. A constant pursuit for excellence since the founder, Enrique Forner, first revolutionized vinification methods by introducing a new and more structured, fruitier style of wine, as well as vivid and fresh whites and rosés; the result of his extensive winemaking experience in his Bordeaux châteaux.

From that moment on, their objective has been to attain the maximum potential possible from the terroir, creating singular wines of remarkable elegance, ideal both for enjoying and sharing.

With a high proportion of old vineyards, a 100% manual harvest (nocturnal in Rueda), along with wine-making tailored to each plot depending on exposure, altitude and soil conditions in the vineyard, the wines convey the richness of their characteristics as well as their full identity.

In line with its pioneering spirit, our team of young winemakers continuously carries out innovation projects, exploring and experimenting with new varieties and methods, increasing the uniqueness and variety of its wines.

Thanks to the effort, dedication, and know-how of the Forner Family, Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres has been consolidated as an internationally acclaimed winery, obtaining several awards and acknowledgments.

At present, they are present across six denominations of origin and are the owners of vineyards of controlled yields located in the more prestigious of these: Rioja Alta, Rueda, and Ribera del Duero.

Currently, Bodegas Marqués de Cáceres has been acknowledged as the most influential brand in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin and one of the world's most admired wines.
